YCET, PG Arts, GDC Billawar register resounding victories

Inter-Collegiate (Men) Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 12: YCET, PG Arts and Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament, being organised by the University of Jammu at Varsity ground, here.
In the first match, YCET defeated GDC Thanamandi in an easy contest by 7 wickets.
Batting first, GDC Thanamandi scored 183 runs in 20 overs. Kashib Pervez top scored with 52 runs. From YCET, Aqib Naiz took 3 wickets.
In reply, YCET chased the target in 14.3 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets.
In another match, PG Arts crushed GDC Khour by 10 wickets. Batting first, GDC Khour bundled out for 59 runs.
In reply, PG Arts chased the target in 4.5 overs without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Hinan Malik top scored with unbeaten 32 runs, while Rahul Manhas contributed 15 runs to the total.
In the third match of the day, GDC Billawar defeated GDC Mahanpur by 26 runs. Batting first GDC Billawar scored 137 runs in 20 overs. Manish and Rajveer contributed 53 and 44 runs to the total respectively. From GDC Mahanpur, Surjit took 3 wickets.
In reply, GDC Mahanpur managed to score 111 runs in 20 overs to lose the match by 26 runs. Surjit top scored with 21 runs from GDC Mahanpur, while Mohit took 3 important wickets from GDC Billawar.
