KATHUA, Sept 13: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Kathua organized Inter District Division Level Tennis Cricket Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls at Sports stadium Kathua (Boys) and Sports Stadium Hiranagar, here.
The Tournament is being played under the Chairmanship of Dr Saleem-ul-Rehman, Director General Youth services & Sports, while Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
Sunil Kumar, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kathua, who is also Assistant Organization Secretary of the Tournament declared the event open in an impressive function.
The officiating panel includes Mohan Lal Dub and Joginder Kumar as Activities In-charges, Avinash Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Omkar Singh, Jagdish Raj, Rakesh Kumar, Kudeep Singh, Kulbhushan Singh and Parveen Singh
A total of 45 girls and 41 boys of three districts (Kathua, Samba and Jammu) participated in the Tournament.
In the girls section, Samba defeated Kathua by 7 wickets to win the title, while in boys section, Samba defeated Jammu by 8 wickets.
