Inter-Collegiate Cricket (Men) Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 13: Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri, Bhaskar Degree College and GDC Doda registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Cricket (Men) Tournament, being organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity ground, here.
In the first match, GDC Rajouri defeated GDC Mishriwala by 5 wickets. Batting first, GDC Mishriwala scored 131 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Rahul top scored with 30 runs. Mohd Taseer took 3 wickets from GDC Rajouri.
In reply, GDC Rajouri chased the target by losing 5 wickets to win the match by 5 wickets. Sahil Ahmed top scored with 69 runs. Suraj took 2 wickets from GDC Mishriwala.
In another match, Bhaskar Degree College Udhampur thrashed GDC Basohli by a big margin of 100 runs. Batting first, Bhaskar Degree College scored 167 runs in 16 overs. Attaullah Malik top scored with 80 runs, while Imran Bhat contributed 64 runs. Ankit took 2 wickets from GDC Basohli.
In reply, GDC Basohli bundled out for 67 runs. Surinder top scored with 16 runs. For Bhaskar Degree College, Davinder was the pick of the bowlers, who took 6 important wickets.
In the third match, GDC Doda defeated GCET by a narrow margin of 13 runs. Batting first, GDC Doda scored 128 runs in 18.5 overs. Tabish top scored with 29 runs. Rohan took 4 wickets from GCET.
In reply, GCET managed to score 115 runs in 19.2 overs. Aditya top scored with 51 runs. Nayeem took 4 wickets from GDC Doda.
