RAJOURI, Mar 11: MBA Department team thrashed B-Tech Department team in the finals and lifted the title trophy of the Tug-of-War event in men’s category organized during ongoing Inter-Departmental Tourney at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), here today.
In women’s category, PG team outplayed Information Technology (IT) Engineering team and claimed the title trophy.
In Badminton event, Tariq Aziz and Kashish Kapoor, both students of B-Tech course, routed their respective opponents in the semifinal matches and now will clash with each other for the title trophy.
On the occasion, Registrar of the University Mohd Rashid Chowdhary was the chief guest, who while speaking congratulated those who emerged winners in various events organized during the tourney.
Vice Chancellor, Prof Irshad A Hamal in his message to the participating students said that the University is ready to provide every facility and support, but they have to come up and prepare themselves for bigger competitions in all sections vis-à-vis academics, sports and culture.
Earlier, Deputy Director, Physical Education and Sports, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din presented the welcome address.
