UDHAMPUR, Oct 6: Twelve persons were injured in three separate road accidents across Udhampur district, here today.
According to the reports, nine passengers were injured when a minibus, bearing registration number JK02T-6099 rolled down near village Farna. The minibus was on its way from Krimchi to Udhampur when it met with the accident. Police and locals shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. Their condition was stated to be stable.
The injured were identified as Pooja Devi (20), wife of Anku Khajuria of Pangra, Satya Devi (45) wife of Ram Lal of Janipur Jammu, Arun Sharma (23), son of Ram Lal of Janipur Jammu, Ramesh Chander (40), son of Chuni Lal of Mali, Diksha Sharma (17), daughter of Urmil Vinod of Mansar, Vidya Devi (38) wife of Kuldeep Singh of Krimchi, Bharat Veer (20), son of Shiv Kumar of Lansi, Rashmi Sharma (24) daughter of Ramesh Lal of Mansar and Sahil Mohamed (16) son of Layaqat Ali of Krimchi.
Meanwhile, in another road accident, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK02AB-8957 rolled down near Davel Bridge Chenani when it was on its way from Chenani to Udhampur, this morning. Two persons were injured in the mishap and the duo was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious injuries. They were identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Lone (48), son of Mohd Said Ullah Lone of Pulwama Kashmir and Mohd Rahil (40) son of Mahu of Reasi.
Another road accident took place near Tikri when a bus JK02BM-2795 hit 13-year old Akshit Kohli, son of Anil Kohli of Ghari. The victim was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to SMVD Narayana Hospital Katra.
