Workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena protesting against non-availability of machinery in District Hospital, Samba

JAMMU, Mar 12: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of president, Ashok Gupta took out a procession from Chawtha, main suburbs of Samba to Highway Road against non-availability of CT Scan and other machinery in the District Hospital Samba (DHS).
Addressing the protestors, Gupta strongly criticized the State administration for not providing basic amenities in the hospital. He said that in past 20 days 9 accidents have taken place which led to the loss of various precious lives. He further stated that the Samba is also the connecting route for Mata Vaishno Devi and the absence of basic amenities in the District hospital is a big question mark on the health care facilities of the district as in the case of road mishaps in the area the victims are shifted to Jammu.
Gupta welcomed the Health Minister’s move of banning the private practice of the doctors and rescheduling their duties in case of emergency and extending the time of the OPD by 2 hours, but he lamented that senior doctors and lecturers are still busy with their private practice.
