JAMMU, Oct 16: Saurashtra defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 4 wickets in 5th round match of the ongoing Vinoo Mankad Under-19 Boys Cricket Tournament at ACA Stadium, Barsapara, Guwhati in Assam.
Earlier, batting first, J&K bundled out for a meagre total of 93 runs in 38.3 overs. Kanhaiya Wadhawan and Kawal Preet Singh scored 23 runs each, while all other batsmen failed to score and the team collapsed at a paltry total. From Saurashtra, Yuvrajsingh Shinol was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets by conceding 19 runs in his 9 overs, while Dev Nilay Dand and Amit Ranjan took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Saurashtra easily chased the target in 27.3 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Siddhant Jaydevsinn Rana top scored with 32 runs, while Jatavat and Kotak contributed 22 and 15 runs to the total respectively. From Jammu and Kashmir, Basit Bashir Lone and Musaif Ajaz took 2 wickets each, while Deepak Beer Singh and Govind Sharma claimed 1 wicket each.
