J&K Accounts employees delegation calls on Advisor

JAMMU, Oct 17: A delegation of J&K Accounts Employees Association, Jammu province called on the Governor’s Advisor, KK Sharma and projected the issues of the Accounts employees.
Led by the president of the Association, Kamal Singh Pathania, the delegation members also presented a memorandum to the Advisor with charter of demands. The delegation projected that the cadre is facing stagnation and the promotion process has been stalled for the last about one year. A large number of vacancies of AAOs, AOs and CAOs are lying vacant in various departments. Even a large number of posts of Accounts Assistants and Accountants are falling vacant and there is no recruitment of this cadre for the last over six years.
The delegation also requested to remove the pay parity in the Assistant Accounts officers’ cadre and conduct of fresh recruitment for all the posts lying vacant as the employees are under intense pressure due to over burden.
The Advisor gave patient hearing to the points raised by the members of the Association and assured to take up the matter with the Financial Commissioner (Finance Deptt) for the early redressal of the demands.
Senior members Adarsh Sharma, Shiv Paul Singh, Sanjay Pandoh, Mehboob Choudhary, Rakesh Sharma, Rakesh Kashyap, B B Sharma and others also accompanied.
