Samba, Oct 23: An Inter Block Level indoor game competition, in disciplines of Chess & Carrom (Boys), was held today here at M.V. International School.
The event was organized by Department of District Youth Services and Sports on the directions of Director General Youth Services and Sports Saleem Ul Rehman.
The chief guest was Joint Director Planning Sukhleen Kour. She hailed the efforts of DYSSO department in promoting the sports cultural in district samba where hitherto players of great calibers are found.
The competition was held under the supervision of Kiran Jyoti District Youth Services and Sports Officer, while Ashok Kumar ZPEO Vijaypur was overall Incharge.
In carrom event (boys), the final was played between block Vijaypur and Sumb, in which Sumb emerged as winner.
In the chess event (boys) the final match was won by block Nud defeating block Rajpura.
