JAMMU, Oct 31: Bharat Vikas Parishad Jammu organized Inter School Quiz Competition.
The competition was held in two different categories–Senior Group and Junior Group. Eight teams participated in both the groups.
The participating schools were ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Jammu, IDPS Sainik Colony, Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony, RM Public School, Sainik Colony, Galaxy Public School, Sainik Colony; Himmat Learning Field Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Modern Public School, Channi Himmat and NSK High School, Channi Himmat.
Ritesh Kapoor was the chief guest on the occasion while DR Kotwal and SK Jain were the guests of honour.
Kapoor during his address said that winning or losing should never be the only criteria and the important part is participation.
The programme was conducted by Ashok Gupta, State Body Executive of Bharat Vikas Parishad while Sunita Mahajan President Shivalik Branch and Shashi Gupta Secretary and Krishan Gupta Treasurer of the organization conducted the quiz competition.
Among others present were RP Gandotra, Trishla Gupta, Gopal Sharma, Jyotsana Sharma, Ashok Rathore and Anju Bansal from Bharat Vikas Parishad.
In the Senior Group, ASN Higher Secondary School stood first by securing 130 marks while Himmat Learning Field School stood second by securing 75 marks and NSK High School stood third by securing 60 marks.
In the Junior Group, Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School stood 1st by securing 85 marks while ASN Higher Secondary School stood 2nd by securing 75 marks and IDPS School stood 3rd by securing 55 marks.
The function came to end with the presentation of souvenirs to the guests and trophies to the winners.
