Border people protest over closure of bus service

SAMBA, Nov 6: The border people in villages of Samba held a protest demonstration over the closure of bus service in the area by State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) authorities.
The people of border belt in Samba while protesting against the authorities of SRTC said that their action has added to their problems most.
The protestors said earlier mini buses were plying on the border route which often met accidents due to rash driving and people of the border belt took up the issue with Deputy Commissioner, Samba who assured that SRTC bus service will ply on border roads.
They said the bus service was started from Samba to Mawa, Palura, Chaliari and Chachawal. This was not a relief to common people but school and college going children also, they added.
The protestors said that there is anger among the people over cancellation of bus service and demanded that the same be restored without any delay.
The RTO Samba when contacted said that the bus service was cancelled by SRTC.
