JAMMU, Nov 19: Jammu University won its 1st match by beating Mumbai University by 4 wickets in the 17th All India Vice Chancellors T20 Cricket Tournament 2019 organised by
Shivaji University Kohlapur Maharashtra.
Batting first, Mumbai University scored 124 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.  Rajesh Salhotra, Pawan Singh, Sumit Sharma and Balwant Singh claimed two wickets each while Niranjan Singh took on wicket.
In reply, Jammu University chased  the total  in 18.3 overs. Deepak top scored with 58 runs, while skipper Rajesh Salhotra remained unbeaten on 43 runs and was declared as the man of the match for his all-round performance.
Sham Lal Sharma, Manager; Jarnail Singh, Assistant Manager and S.Gurmeet Singh, Mentor of the team  congratulated the players for this victory.
Pawan Singh Bhau, President, JUNTEU also congratulated the team.
