Panthers Party MLA ‘suspended’ from Assembly, called back

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party legislator Balwant Singh Mankotia was today ‘suspended’ by the Speaker Legislative Assembly for an alleged ‘misbehaviour’ in the House.
Mr Mankotia was ‘suspended’ from the House when he tore papers and threw them into the Well during a protest following which the Speaker Mubarak Gul said previously also the MLA indulged into such activities in the House.
Mr Mankotia had earlier also thrown the microphone and climbed on the bench during House proceedings to lodge a protest.
Meanwhile, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah appealed the Speaker to revoke the suspension of the MLA and allow him to enter the House.
The suspension thereafter was revoked and the ‘suspended’ legislator along with his party MLAs Harsh Dev Singh and Yash Pal Kundal joined the House proceedings.
