JU crushes Akola University, enters QFs

JAMMU, Nov 23: Jammu University registered their 4th consecutive win beating Akola University by 115 runs in All India Vice Chancellors T-20 cricket tournament 2019, organized by Shivaji University Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Batting first, JU scored a good total of 195 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Sandeep Bakshi scored 51 runs. Niranjan Singh scored 46 runs.Deepak Shammi Bhagat and Vishal Sudan made 30, 24 and 20 runs respectively.
In reply, Akola University bundled out for 80 runs. Skipper Rajesh Salhotra was the wrecker-in-chief who took 3 important wickets, while Pawan Singh and Balwant Singh took 2 wickets each. Iliyas and Sumit also took 1 wicket each.
Sandeep Bakshi was declared as the man of the match. Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor Jammu University and Prof RK Ganjoo, Register JU congratulated the team. Sham Lal Sharma, Manager, Jarnail Singh Assistant Manager and Gurmeet Singh Mentor of the team congratulated the players for such a brilliant victory. Pawan Singh Bhau, President JUNTEU also congratulated the team for this victory.
