JAMMU, Nov 27: School Education Non Teaching Employees Association (SENTEA) raised their burning demands in a press conference held here today.
Addressing the press conference, Babu Hussain Malik (president, J&K Cleric Employees Association Forum), Ansuyia Gupta (provincial president of SENTEA, Jammu province) and Bharat Bhushan Kotwal (former president of SENTEA) along with other leaders said that clerical staff of all cadres at Education Department has been deprived of transfers, adjustment and regularization since December 2015 while their counterpart teachers and lecturers are frequently transferred, adjusted and regularized as and where they complete their tenure of office as per norms.
Stating that Senior Assistants promoted as In-charge Head Assistants are still unadjusted despite the fact that many of them are at the verge of retirement, Babu Hussain Malik demanded that they be adjusted without any delay.
Ansuyia Gupta said as per rules, the DPC should be held twice in a year but it is not being conducted even once in a year in case of clerical employees. Gupta said 3rd time bound promotion has not been granted in favour of employees, which is a major loss for them. She appealed the authorities to conduct DPC of clerical staff of all cadre immediately.
Bharat Bhushan Kotwal said that several teaching employees have been attached in different offices of School Education Department like Directorate of School Education and offices of the Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers but despite repeated requests of the Association, they have not been relieved. He demanded immediate de-attachment of these teaching employees.
The leaders of the Association sought intervention of LG Girish Chander Murmu and concerned Advisor to solve the problems and issues of clerical cadre at the earliest.
