Project Model School drubs Col Chopra Academy to enter finals

JAMMU, Nov 27: Trouncing Col RN Chopra Academy in a rain-hit semifinal, Project Model School sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Country Cricket Club Under-16 School Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Country Cricket Club and the Project Model Higher Secondary School, Janipur at Gharota, near here.
Earlier, Col RN Chopra Academy won the toss and put Project Model into bat first, who made 104 in 24 overs in a rain-hit match. Arnav (42), Ayush (32) and Shaurya (15) were the main scorers. From Col RN Chopra Academy, Abu, Amit, Ainesh and Aneesh claimed 2 wickets each. Aditya also got one wicket.
In reply, RN Chopra Academy scored 31 runs in 10 overs when the rain played spoilsport and forced the organisers to stop play. Ashutosh top scored with 20 runs. RV and Arun of Project Model School claimed 2 and one wicket respectively. Acording to the organisers Project Model School was declared winner by Duckworth Lewis Stern Method.
Now, in the finals, Project Model School will lock horns with the winners of another semifinal match between Young Star Cricket Club and Saint Xavier XI.
