JAMMU, Dec 6: Bharatiya Janata Party conducted monthly meeting of Councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu to discuss various issues of the public and developmental works of the City.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul who was accompanied by State general secretaries Dr Narinder Singh and Yudhvir Sethi, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Deputy Mayor Advocate Purnima Sharma.
Public concerning issues of various departments like PDD, PHE, PWD and Health & Sanitation remained the highlight of the meeting, whereas the meeting also saw the two-way interaction between the party seniors and Councillors for the development works in the city. The Councillors highlighted various apprehensions regarding the effective working of the public departments in order to solve the public plights in a better and coordinated way.
Ashok Kaul gave a patient hearing to all the issues put forth by the party Councillors. Prompting them to assume the role of a bridge between the public, administration and the party, he also asked them to increase their interaction with the public to know and understand their issues well. He assured them of all help from the organization for carrying out their duties in order to serve the public better.
Dr Narinder Singh stressed upon the Councillors to take the Corporation’s achievements before the public, while telling them the detailed projects and roadmap for the development of the city.
Yudhvir Sethi, asked the Councillors to act as responsible public representatives and keep working with dedication to strengthen the party. He asked them to work on ground in accordance to the wishes of general masses.
Chander Mohan Gupta acquainted the house with the future programmes and the proposals of the Corporations for the betterment of the City infrastructure. He assured the leadership that they will work with full dedication for the development of the city and bring a good name to the party.
Purnima Sharma prompted all the JMC Councillors to make full use of available resources. She stressed upon the need to work in complete harmony with various agencies for better implementation of various schemes.
