PNB donates essential items to HMR inmates

An official of PNB, Circle-office, Jammu, distributing essental items to inmates of Home for Mentally Retarded at Jammu on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Mar 20: In keeping with the corporate social responsibility shouldered by Punjab National Bank from time to time, Circle Office-Jammu, today donated towels, socks and detergents to all inmates residing in the Home for Mentally Retarded (HMR) situated at Channi Rama, here.
Ashok Gupta, DGM-Circle Head-J&K, presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta reiterated the commitment of the Bank to uplift the poor and downtrodden people economically. He said that PNB has the distinction of being the bank “of the people, by the people and for the people” and it has always shared the social responsibility entrusted to it by the Govt.
He assured the Managing Committee of the Home that the Bank shall always be ready to come for help and support to this noble institution under its Corporate Social Responsibility charter.
Gupta further added that rehabilitation and care with adequate financial support can play a pivotal role in changing the living condition and life quality of mentally challenged children.
AK Mota, Chief Manager, Circle Office-Jammu and Senior Manager (Security) Neeraj Anand were also present on the occasion.
