JAMMU, Dec 17: Bahu Fort police arrested a Burma national and recovered around 500 grams cannabis from her possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station led by SHO Inspector Bishnesh Kumar under the supervision of SP South Vinay Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a lady, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered around 500 grams cannabis from the possession of the lady and arrested her.
The arrested lady has been identified as Haseena, wife of Mohammad Younis, a resident of Burma, at present Marathi Mohallah, District Jammu.
The accused was involved in this illegal practice since long and finally police put her behind the bars so as to save the future of the youth. NDPS Act cases also stands registered against her husband also.
A case under FIR Number 311/19 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against the arrested lady at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
