JAMMU, Dec 17: Old Janipur Civil Society People Development Action Committee in a meeting here today raised demands for the development of Janipur area.
Speakers in the meeting demanded public bathrooms and toilets along with a shed at the local park to facilitate the participants of funeral processions.
They also demanded sitting arrangement, lights, fountain, CCTV cams, dustbins, appointment of two watchmen and gardeners for the park.
Speakers in the meeting also demanded that the park should be handed over to Horticulture Department for maintenance and upkeep.
Repair of lanes and drains and blacktopping of roads in the area was also demanded.
Kulwant Sambyal, Prabhudyal, B.R Kundal, Jagmohan Singh, Anil Bhasin, Kuldeep Billowaria, Brij Mohan Singh, Mohinder Kumar, Krisha Kumar, Sheel Abrol, Surinder Kumar, P.K Bhat, Sher Singh, Amrik Slathia, Rakesh Jamwal, Sandeep Sharma, Rajat Sambyal, Vijay Kumar and B.L Bhat were also present in the meeting.
