JAMMU, Dec 20: Defeating NGR Football Club by (3-2) via tie-breaker in the semifinals, J&K Bank Academy sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing 13th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
Earlier, both the teams scored one goal each (1-1) in the stipulated time. From NGR, Amritpal scored the goal in 42nd minute, while Rohit scored the goal for J&K Bank Academy in 85th minute of the match.
Now in the finals, J&K Bank Academy will take on Clmrat FC at 2:30 pm on December 22, 2019.
The match was officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Rocky Sharma and Dil Bahadur.
Suneet Gupta, Zonal Officer, J&K Bank was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present on the occasion, ZA Thakur, President JKFA, Surinder Singh Bunty, Tresurer JKFA and SM Gill, Ex MLC and State President Christian Welfare Association.
Yousuf Don is the Organising Secretary of the tournament.
