JAMMU, Dec 24: Vedic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP) today urged upon the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to enforce Common Civil Code and take effective steps to promote Vedic education and our ancient language-Sanskrit in the country.
Addressing a large gathering of Brahman community members from 19 states of the country including J&K UT at two-day National convention at Varindaban in UP the other day, national president of the VBKP, Subhash Kaushik said that VBKP is committed for promotion of Vedic eduation, moral values and Sanskrit languge which is heading towards extinction in India. The Govt should ensure funding to the Sanskrit Vidhyalayas/ Institutes of Vedic Education on the pattern of Madarassas, Kaushik maintained.
While supporting Modi Govt’s initiatives on revocation of special status granted to the J&K state, Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya, Citizen’s Amendment Bill (CAB), VBKP president urged upon the Union Govt to keep check on the ‘population’ in the country and enforce Common Civil Code, irrespective of religion in the country.
During this two days’ programme, Brahaman community members discussed the issues of the community welfare, promotion of Vedic education, social evils, reservation and the issues of national interest. Many state unit heads/ representatives presented their view points.
Prominent among them included Raj Kumar (VP) from Harayana, RM Sharma- national general secretary, Nand Kishore (treasurer) from Jaipur, Anita Sharma- national women wing president from Indore, Acharya Triloki Nath from UP, Dr Lok Nath Pandey from Varanasi, Rajeshwari Gautam from Shimla (HP), Abha Pandey and Sanjay Upadhyaye from Kolkata, Tulsi Dass from Orissa, Gopal Sharma and Prem Sharma from J&K, Surender Tripathi, Pawan Kumar from Haryana, Santosh Dubey, Sunil Acharya, Vikash Sharma from (UK), Ashok Pandey from Vipar Foundation Mumbai and others.
On this occasion, a book was also released by National president and other prominent persons.This book has been written by Late Adv Atma Ram Acharya from Bikaner.
Sant Shri Radha Vallabh Dass ji (Dandoti Bawa-Varindaban) from J&K and Sant Shri Suraj Parkash Ji Maharaj from UP were honoured with Vedic Ratan Award (Posth). Newly instituted and Ist Shri Om Acharya Kushal Manch Sanchalan Award was won by Vinod Acharya from Rajasthan, Adv Sachidanand Acharya Young Lawyer Award was secured by Mukesh Acharya, Vedik Bamashah Award by Parkash Ji and Kalwari Ji from Jaipur and best speaker award went to Rajeshwari Gautam from Shimla. Vedic Gaurva Award went to several persons for their performance in different fields. They included, Dr Loknath Pandey from Varanasi (Journalism), Dharamchand Acharya (R’sthan), Surender Nath, Maridul Ji, Arjun Acharya-Jodhpur, RN Tripathi and others.
