JAMMU, Dec 24: Christmas Day was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety.
KC International School celebrated the Christmas Eve and Arrival of the New Year with a great zeal. A spectacular show was put up by the students, followed by special assembly wherein the students showcased the events related to Jesus Christ’s birth and life through role play, carols and talk. Senior co-ordinator Arti Sharma addressed the gathering with her motivating words. Special Christmas gala was hosted by Pre-Primary and Primary wing in the atrium of the school. Senior Vice Chairperson Saroj Mahajan and Vice President Chaitanya Chowdhary graced the occasion as the chief guests. The highlight of the show was a skit by Pre-Primary students showcasing Rudolph’s heroic story. Cake cutting Ceremony was hosted by students in the presence of the chief guests. The entire show was organized by Ameet Kour, Co-ordinator Pre-Primary Wing and Headmistress, Poonam Bhagat.
Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar organized Christmas Carnival. The event was graced by Fr Arul Nirmal, Father of St Mary’s Garrison Church. The other special guests were Ram Parsad Junior Engineer PDD, J&K, Priyanka DySP Vigilance and Cheena Sumbria Judge, J&K. The programme began with the Carol Singing along with the Cake Cutting by guests and the Principal of the institution Rameshwar Mengi along with all the dignitaries. Students were in colourful dresses and gave colourful performances. The whole programme was done under the supervision of Incharges Amit gupta and Sudesh Rana with the cooperation of lecturers and students of Shiksha Niketan.
Vishwa Bharati Senior Secondary School Akalpur Morh celebrated Christmas by organizing a special morning assembly in which students delivered speeches on the uplifitment of the humanity. Some students presented beautiful dance and song items concerning Christmas. The tiny toddlers of pre-primary wing presented a wonderful tab leaveby costuming as Santa Clause and Fairies that attracted each and everyone. The marvelous dance item on the song jingle bells enthralled the whole audience.
Indira Public Higher Secondary School Shant Nagar Janipur along with its Indira Kids Play Way School celebrated Christmas with zeal and fervour. Students attired as Santa Claus and Fairies sang Christmas Carols and other songs including Jingle Bells. The students also foot tapped on ‘Jingle Bells’. Managing Director of the Institution Sanjay Padha was the chief guest, while Principal Rashu Padha was the guest of honour. Assistant Principal and Coordinators or different wings were also present on the occasion. Co-ordinator Primary Wing Renuka Saroch threw light on the importance of the day and asked the students to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Bhartiya Shiksha Kender Higher Secondary School Domana organized Christmas Carnival. On the occasion Principal BSKHSS Domana Sandhya Raj Patjania was chief guest and Renowned Classical Performer of J&K, Nrityashree Deepak Dutta was guest of honour. On the occasion, students Slum kids from flung areas were invited as special guests. Students presented plethora of performances. Main attraction of the day was Cake Cutting ceremony and dance of Teachers on the beats of Jingle Bells. Head Boy of School Nikhil recited Christmas Prayer, while Arti Bandral done stage proceedings.
To celebrated Christmas Day, Navdeep Public School (NPS) Paloura organised Bal Mela. Chairman NPS Hakumat Singh Pathania was chief guest, while Principal Bhartiya Kender Higher Secondary School Domana Sandhya Raj Pathania was guest of honour and Renowned Classical Performer of J&K NrityaShree Deepak Dutta was special guest. On the occasion, students presented variety of cultural items. Director NPS Sangeeta, Coordinators and Teacher Incharges were also present on the occasion. Mouth watering stalls were also installed by teachers. Lottery, NPS Shopping Plaza and Lucky Draw was like addition to the entertainment part. Ex Students Paras Sunaina Mohit and others were specially invited by School Management who shared their experience when they were part of NPS. In the end, vote of thanks was presented by Principal NPS Manvi S Sambyal.
DPS Nagbani today celebrated Christmas. The students of DPS Nagbani conducted a special assembly to invoke the message of sharing and compassion with Christmas. The assembly commenced with a welcome address and a brief introduction of the chief guest Ajatshatru Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Nagbani while SS Sodhi, PVC/Director was the guest of honour. The Christmas celebration began with Christmas carols melodiously sung by the students followed by a dance performance. The programme included a skit, dance of Santa accompanied by a group of dancers, etc. Vote of thanks was delivered by the Principal of the school R K Verma.
Students of Tint Tots School celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and gaiety. The students of dressed as Santa Claus presented colourful dance items. Students of senior wing presented a full play depicting the birth and sacrifices made by the Jesus Christ.

Minerva Public School Barnoti celebrated Christmas. Kindergarten children dressed and presented a dance followed by a dance by senior girls on Dogri song. Hindi Rhyme competition (Junior) was the highlight of the celebration. Students came up with the different poem on a variety of themes. Participants were judged on parameters like pronunciation, content, expression and confidence. The final judgement was made by the panel of judges as well as special guest comprising of Dr Guru Dutt and Dr (Prof) Rachna Raj.

Christmas, the birth of Lord Jesus was celebrated at Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu. A special assembly was organised wherein Vice Chairperson Amarjit Singh, Director Satvinder Saini, Principal Ram Parkash Sharma, Administrator Rama Jamwal and Headmistress Shweta Bakshi were present. Delhi Public School, Udhampur celebrated Christmas. Kindergarten Angels danced to joyful tunes. The Santa danced to the exciting tunes followed by Christmas skit. There was a carol presented by Yajurveda House. Highlight of the programme was skates dance performance. Pro-Vice Chairman of the school, Dr JC Gupta wished the students Merry Christmas. Sai Shyam Educational Society, Ghou-Manhasan, Jammu celebrated Christmas. A Christmas Tree was decorated in middle of School ground and students performed different cultural activities. JK Montessorie British School celebrated Christmas. Students were dressed in colorful costumes of fairy, angels and Santa Claus. Indian Public School, Kidzee Kathua celebrated Christmas. The chief guest was Chairperson IPS Kidzee, Anu Dogra. The theme for the day was Red and White. Students participated in different activities and competitions. In morning assembly students of IPS sang Christmas Carols. Euro Toddlers-a pre school, UNO Lane Jammu celebrated Christmas. Toddlers came in colourful attires portraying Santa Claus and Angels. Teachers enlightened the meaning of Christmas. Managing Director Euro Toddlers Rajeev Gupta and Director Vandana Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Paramount Convent School, Rehari celebrated Christmas with joy and excitement with series of events to share the reasons for Jesus’ birth.
