JAMMU, Dec 26: Krishna Cricket Club Akhnoor and Christian Sports Organization (CSO) Jammu registered convincing victories over their rivals in the AOI Christmas T20 Cricket Championship, being jointly organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Christian Sports Organization, here.
In the first match, Krishna Club Akhnoor defeated Raja Warriors in a nail-biter by 3 runs.
Batting first, Krishna Club Akhnoor scored 139 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Lovely (45), Gagan (29) and Deepak (23) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Deepu took 3 wickets, while Nishu and Sumit claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Raja Warriors managed to score 136 runs to lose the match in an exciting contest by 3 runs. Nishu (34), Ridham (26) and Raghav (14) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Gagan took 3 wickets, while Rajinder and Vikram took 2 wickets each. Gagan was adjudged as the man of the match.
In another match, Christian Sports Organization Jammu defeated AOI/ASCOMS XI by 7 wickets.
Batting first AOI/ASCOMS XI scored 85 runs in the allotted 16 overs with Karan (25), Farhad (12) and Yuvraj (11) being the main scorers. From bowling side, Samiullah took 5 wickets, while Sunny bagged 2 and Majid claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Christian Sports Organization Jammu chased the target in 12.5 overs for the loss of 3 wickets thus won the match by 7 wickets. Abdul Majid scored unbeaten 75 runs with 4 fours and 6 sixes. From the bowling side, Owais, Yuvraj and Basit took 1 wicket each. Ab dul Majid was declared as the man of the match.
