JAMMU, Dec 27: The 1st Annual Day of Cambridge International School, Purkhoo Camp, Domana, Jammu was celebrated with zeal and zest at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, here today.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, graced the occasion as chief guest, while Sandeep Mehta, SSP Operations, Jammu, Sunaina Sharma (KAS), Secretary, JMC, Jammu, Satish Kumar Sharma, SDM, Jammu North, Prem Lata Patial, CAO, Stores & Procurement, Kulvir Singh, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Prince Verma, Founder JK Update were the guests of honour.
Geeta Mahajan, Director Operations, LWES, Chand Singh, Under Secretary Transport Department, Mohd Syed, Functional Manager District Industrial Centre, Vinod Kumar (Director, Gulistan News) and Nihar Ranjan DySP Crime Branch were the special guests.
The welcome address was presented by Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director of school.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Niayti and Divya Jamwal.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest followed by breathtaking invocation dance of Ganesh Vandana by students.
Thereafter, Vision statement was delivered by Geeta Mahajan, Director Operations, Learning Wings Education System (LWES).
Peace & Harmony Dance was performed by little kindergarten students sending message to maintain brotherhood.
The galaxy of guests sitting in the auditorium was addressed by Er Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman of the school.
A Musical Theatre Production- Aladdin, a story from Arabian Nights was performed by the students having eye catching make up to suit the drama having a message that talent never goes waist.
A School report was presented by Vivek Arora, Principal of school followed by Mash-up performance by School Choir.
Students who excelled in Academics, Sports and Extra Co-curricular Activities were given awards and certificates by the chief guest.
A Hindi play, The Legend of Eklavya was performed by the students that the whole audience remained spell bound during that period.
The entire show, right from costume designing, make up, art work and sequence was designed and directed by Theatre Director, Pratiush Toor from Delhi and Choreography part was taken up by Sam from Mumbai.
The vote of thanks was given by Headmistress, Kuljeet Kour.
Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman of the School was also present during the program.
The program concluded with National Anthem.
