550th Years Celebration Cup commences

JAMMU, Dec 29: YCC Simbal registered win over Bali Cricket Club (BCC) Bakshi Nagar in the inaugural tie of the ‘550th Years Celebration Cup’, being organized by Diamond Cricket Club Simbal at Government Boys High School ground, Simbal Camp, here.
Batting first after winning the toss, BCC scored 117 runs by losing 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Vishaw played a splendid inning of 51 runs off 44 balls, while Nitin scored 23 runs in 21 balls.
From YCC side, Kakkar scalped 4 wickets and Aman took 3 wickets.
In reply, YCC chased the target in 18.4 overs by losing 5 wickets. Talwinder made 27 runs, Veeru scored 18 runs and Jaggi scored 15 runs.
From BCC side, Venus scalped 2 wickets, while Mohit and Ashu took 1 wicket apiece.
Kakkar was adjudged as Man of the Match.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Dalip Kumar Chairman BDC along with guests of honour Sarpanch Ravinder Singh, President Sikh Naujowan Sabha Simbal Surinder Singh and Chairman Jammu Transport Owner Society Amarjeet Singh alias Bittu.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh and Harcharan Singh.
