JAMMU, Dec 31: A mock drill was held at Bahu-Fort here today by Civil Defence (CD) under the guidance of Muneer Ahmed Khan, Additional Director General of Police Home Guards/Civil Defence & UTDRF; Vikas Gupta, SSP I/C DIG, HG/CD & UTDRF Jammu and under the supervision of Dy.SP Shashi Thakur, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu.
During the mock drill knowledge of First Aid, CPR, chocking, emergency methods of rescue-two parallel rope, rescue with one rope, sliding stretcher, fire man lift, firefighting etc was given by the Civil Defence Team.
Different speakers highlighted the role of Civil Defence.
Ranjit Singh Kanwar, (SSP) SO to ADGP, HG/CD & UTDRF J&K-Jammu who was chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu as well as UTDRF 2nd Bn. Team, Civil Defence Wardens and volunteers for organizing Mock Exercise/demonstration programme.
