JAMMU, Jan 4: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chouhan, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here today conducted anti-encroachment drive at Narwal area.
The entire operation was led by Assistant Enforcement Officer of JMC, Rakesh Puri and his team.
Puri told Excelsior that the extended portion of shops and other business establishments was demolished by the JMC team.
He also informed that some 7-8 shops constructed on Government land were also demolished during the drive.
The entire operation was carried out with the proper support of police and district administration in the presence of senior district officers.
The district administration and JMC authorities have appealed to the business establishments, shop owners and others to desist from encroaching upon the Government land else strict measures will be taken to deal with such violations.
