Reservation demands raised at conference

JAMMU, Jan 5: All India Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (AISCST) and Buddhists LIC Employees Welfare Association (J&K Unit) here today organised a conference which was presided over by the Association president, Mohan Lal.
Tarseem Khullar, Senior Association leader inaugurated the conference while Rajender Kumar, General Secretary of Zonal Committee of Association was the chief guest.
Romesh Chand, Divisional Secretary of the Association placed the agenda before the delegates and supported the demands like reservation in promotions, reservation in private sector, reservation in army and higher judiciary, special recruitment drives to fill the backlog posts in Central and UT Government departments, free education to all, land to landless and ban on contract system.
R.K Kalsotra, Confederation president, Mohan Lal, Vijay Sarmal, Sham Sunder, Jang Bahadur and others were also present in the conference.
