Simula wins inaugural tie in Cricket, Block Pargwal scripts victory in Football

JAMMU, Jan 6: Simula Cricket Club defeated Baba Sehaj Nath Cricket Club by 8 wickets in the inaugural match of the Cricket Tournament, which got underway at Parade Ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Baba Sehaj Nath Cricket Club scored 90 runs in 17 overs.
In reply, Simula Cricket Club chased the target easily in 11 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process. Manjit Singh top scored with 55 runs off 34 balls, hitting 7 boundaries and a six.
Meanwhile, in Football competition, Block Pargwal defeated Maira Mandrian Block by eight goals to nil (8-0).
The Tournaments are being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
The Tournaments are being organised under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services & Sports, J&K.
