JAMMU, Mar 23: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by one Balbir Singh seeking protection of Gole Mahal at Hazuri Bagh Talab Tillo, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur today granted time for filing objections.
“A status report in pursuance of earlier order has been filed disclosing that the building is less than 100 years old and would attract the provisions of J&K Heritage Conservation & Preservation Act, 2010”, the DB said, adding “Advocate Sudershan Sharma appearing for the intervener has, however, stated that he represents the owner of the land in question and has also filed an application seeking permission of the Court to intervene”.
“He may also file his objections and permission is granted to the petitioner to file objections to the status report”, the DB said.
