SAMBA, Jan 14: District Samba Rugby Association organised the 7’s Rugby Championship at High School Rarian, Vijaypur here.
Eight teams from different schools and clubs took part in Junior, Sub Junior and Senior age groups.
In Under-14 boys, Govt High School Rarian emerged winner, while in Under-17 boys, Ajay Sports Club Rarian was the winner.
In senior group boys, Raika, Rarian and Vijaypur bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
Sarpanch Rakesh Dogra was the chief guest on the occasion, who along with guest of honour, Lovejeet Singh (Panch) distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
Ajay Sharma, Organising Secretary of the event and Gourav Arora, Vice President, Rugby Association of J&K were present on the closing ceremony.
