JAMMU, Jan 16: Peer Panchal a socio –cultural, educational and Sports organization organized a music and dance competition (Hunarbaaz Talent) here, today.
Former Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and chairman Vishwav Kashmiri Samaj (VKS) Kiran Wattal was the chief guest on the occasion. Urja Singh, chairperson, the Performers and State president, Betiya Foundation, was the guest of honour, Chairman KSD Builders Sheetal Singh was the special guest.
The programme was divided into two categories senior and junior (Music and Dance). In the music category renowned singer Ravi Bhan acted as Judge and in Dance category Sunil Sharma, MD Uniqaue Dance Institute was the judge.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were social activist Satpal Bali, Kuldeep Kumar, Programme coordinator and founder and director of Arohi Productions and programme organizer, Tsewang Dorjee.
Sahil Kumar and Shivani Zutshi were the winners of first and second prize respectively in the singing category of junior group while the third prize in this category was shared by Lovepreet and Kunwar Langer.
In the senior group of singing category Urmilla, Rahul Raina and Sherya Gurtoo bagged first second and third prize respectively.
In the junior group of dance category Vihaan, Adiva and Sparsh got first second and third prize respectively.
Speaking on the occasion Kiran Wattal chairman VKS appreciated the efforts of Pir Panchal and Radio Sharda in organizing such talent hunt programmes. He said Dorjee did a marvelous job in making the event successful.
Wattal said every participant has won and put their efforts in promoting the talent but the winners proved a bit better.
Ramesh Hangloo, president, Peer Panchal and Director Sharda Radio lauded the children and their parents for making them to realize importance of the talent in modern life. He complimented all the members of Pir Panchal and Radio Sharda for their contribution.
The programme was supported by Vikas, Tajinder Singh and Ekta Manhas and it was hosted by Atul Pandita.
