JAMMU, Jan 19: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC inaugurated open air gym at Master Devi Chand Municipal Park, Rehari Colony here today.
During the inauguration, Mayor said Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) is going to install one open air gym in each ward of the Municipal Corporation with the cost of Rs Two lakhs each in the first phase to improve the health of general public.
He directed the engineering staff of JMC to complete the works in all the wards with quality materials and up to the satisfaction of the residents.
While addressing the gathering, he appealed to the people to cooperate with JMC in making the city neat, clean, green and healthy. He also announced that the JMC will also install fountains at 19 different rotaries to make Jammu beautiful very soon.
He was accompanied by Adv Purnima Sharma, Dy Mayor, Councillor, Arun Khanna W no. 25, Councillor Dinesh Gupta Ward No. 18, Commissioner JMC, Avny Lavasa, Secretary JMC, Tinna Mahajan , Joint Commissioner, Jaspal Singh and Xen JMC, Mohit Mahajan.
It may be mentioned here that the concept for opening of open Gyms was mooted by Ward No 25 BJP Corporator Arun Khanna through a resolution in the JMC General House.
