SRINAGAR, Mar 24: The Patwaris who have completed their training from the Revenue Training Institute, Bemina, have urged the authorities to conduct the departmental examination, which they say, have not been conducted for the last three years.
A delegation of the Patwaris told Excelsior that the departmental examination of the trainee Patwaris was last time held in 2010. They said that since then three batches have passed out from RTI Bemina but the examinations have not been conducted. They added that this delays their posting in the field and their promotional avenues also get blocked.
“Once the Patwaris complete their training they have to undergo a written test conducted by the department. Since no examination has taken place since 2010 scores of Patwaris are waiting for their posting in the field. The other examinations of the department conducted by Public Service Commission are held after every six months but that is not the case with our examination,” said the Patwaris.
The Patwaris urged the Financial Commissioner (Revenue) to take a stock of their genuine demand so that the examination is held quickly and they are posted in the field. They added that service benefits like increments are not due to them since they are not considered to be full-fledged Patwaris.
