UDHAMPUR, Mar 24: The President on India Pranab Mukherjee presented Shaurya Chakra (Posthumous) to Naik Rajeshver Singh whose wife Savita received the award at the Defence Investiture Ceremony-1, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in New Delhi, yesterday.
Martyr Rajeshver Singh was from village Tehari in Ramnagar tehsil.
On September 4, 2012, he was deployed at Abdul Hut Post on the Line of Control in Kupwara when he attained martyrdom while fighting heavily armed terrorists.
