JAMMU, Jan 22: A delegation of JKEEGA led by it’s president, Harvrinder Singh and general secretary Pirzada Hidayatullah called on Secretary PDD, M Raju today to discuss the developments related to the Graduate Engineers of PDD post unbundling of PDD into Corporations.
The delegation apprised the Secretary PDD about the burning issues pertaining to the fraternity, viz-a-viz issuance of transfer scheme after unbundling, creation of new posts at all levels in the department after unbundling as already approved by SAC, regularization/confirmation of engineers at various levels, inclusion of training/leave/deputation posts in the engineering cadre of PDD, enhancement of salaries and other admissible allowances, removal of pay anomalies of engineers at different levels, etc.
The delegation further apprised the Secretary that JKEEGA had proposed several measures besides certain demands for making the restructuring process successful in the long run. The same was by and large accepted and reflected by the committee, constituted vide Government order No. 164-PDD of 2019 dated 20.09.2019, in their report submitted to the Government.
The Committee report was annexed as part to the “Memo of unbundling” approved by State Administrative Council vide their Decision No. 258/22/2019 dated 22.10.2019. The Secretary assured the delegation that the proposal for new creation of posts will be taken up in the Board of Directors meeting as approved in the SAC.
The matter of regularization of engineers at all levels which is pending for the last more than 21 years was also taken up for early redressal as the Government had earlier assured that regularization will be completed within two months of unbundling. The Secretary briefed the delegation that the matter was cleared in the Establishment Committee meeting for onward submission to SAC and the necessary orders will be issued within 2 months of the clearance from the SAC.
Secretary PDD assured that Government will resolve all the issues in a time bound manner. The members who were part of the delegation includes, Bashir Ahmad Dar, RC Sharma, Neeraj Sharma, Neel Kanwal Singh, Navneet, Arush Mahajan and Abhineet Gupta.
