Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 24: Nagrota Cricket Club got the better of Sai Cricket Club via super-over in the ongoing Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Parade Ground, here.
In the stipulated overs, both the teams scored 123 runs each to make it a tie and the match was decided via super-over, wherein Nagrota Club emerged winner by scoring 9 runs, while the rivals managed to score 6 runs only. Gourav Manhas and Irshad were the star performers from Nagrota. Gourav scored 52 runs while Irshad got 4 wickets.
Earlier, in the first match of the day, Evershine Cricket Club got walkover against Pangotra Cricket Club to advance in the tournament.
The tournament is being held under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Sukhdev Raj Sharma is the Organizing Secretary, while the matches are being held under the supervision of senior cricket coaches of J&K Sports Council namely Naveen Sharma and Randhir Singh.
