JAMMU, Jan 29: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today visited Bagh-e-Bahu to take stock of construction work of Musical Water Fountain with Light and Sound Show and other allied works.
The Divisional Commissioner was accompanied by Joint Director Tourism Neelam Khajuria, Xen Tourism Mujib Tak, AEE Tourism Vijay Sharma and other senior officers of concerned departments.
The Div Com gave an in depth look into the prospective facilities to be provided under the project being executed by Tourism Department at an estimated cost of Rs 10.82 crore.
Executive Engineer Tourism gave brief detail of the project regarding components of work i.e Musical Water Fountain with sound and Light show having the capacity of 460 seats including 100 VIP seats.
Sanjeev Verma also inspected ongoing beautification work at Bawe Wali Mata Temple Complex.
Executive Engineer JDA Sushil Kumar apprised that the project regarding different component of works i.e construction of water channel with fountains, Red Stone railing, Jaffery, Gazebo on Jaipur Pattern, Red Stone lamps, Mural work, sitting benches in red stone, beautification of gate, etc.
Div Com asked to take up the work of phase second in vacant piece of land adjoining Bahu Fort by landscaping, pathways, Langer shed and parking, etc. He directed to float tender in this regard at the earliest. It was also given out that the project is being executed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.9 crore.
He directed the executing agencies to complete the beautification work in stipulated time frame.
Earlier, the Divisional Commissioner also inspected the work on Bone and Joint Hospital being under construction in the premises of Chest Hospital Bakshi Nagar at an estimated cost of Rs. 40.86 crore in phase 1 and 29.14 crores in phase II at an total estimated cost of 70 crores.
The projects includes six operation theatres, IPD Ward, isolation ward, parking for 150 vehicles, manifold rooms, kitchen, canteen, DG set room and other facilities. Divisional Commissioner also reviewed the progress of upgradation of existing wards for creation of 12 bedded Spinal Injury Centre.
