JAMMU, Feb 10: The 3rd Annual Union Territory Level Conference of Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) on the topic “Strengthening Quality Education in Private Schools: A Way Forward” is scheduled to be held on February 12 at Teacher Bhawan Gandhi Nagar Jammu from 11 am onwards.
This was informed by JKPSCC Chairman Swami Paramanand Saraswati while interacting with media persons here today. President Rameshwar Singh Manhas and Working President Dr Hari Dutt Shishu were also present on the occasion.
Chairman informed that KK Sharma Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has kindly consented to be the chief guest of the event, while Commissioner Secretary, School Education Department Hirdesh Kumar would preside over the conference. Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education Veena Pandita would be the guest of honour and Director School Education, Jammu Anuradha Gupta would grace the occasion as special guest, Saraswati informed.
President of JKPSCC Rameshwar Mengi while addressing the media personnel highlighted the objective of the annual conference. The Conferences of JKPSCC bring together the education providers and policy makers to understand the gap areas and find the right solutions of the problems and eliminate the hurdles in achieving the objectives, he added.
Working President of JKPSCC Dr Hari Dutt Shishu said that these type of conferences are very important for synergistic relationship between the policy makers and education providers and advocated that Government should encourage, support and empower private schools.
He also appealed to the Owners, Promoters, and Principals of Private Schools to make best use of this opportunity and be a part of this Annual Conference to be held from 11 am onwards at Teacher Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
