REASI, Feb 11: A team of District Mining Department conducted a surprise raid at Arnas and seized vehicles, which were carrying illegal sand mining.
The team, led by District Mining Officer Shafiq Ahmed Chowdary, conducted raid with the help of Police and seized four Tippers and one Dumper.
According to the DMO, some Tippers and miscreants involved in illegal sand extraction managed to flee from the spot. The seized tippers were taken to Arnas Police Station and a case was registered in this connection.
