JAMMU, Feb 20: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jammu organized one day orientation-cum-training programme on the topic ‘Objectives of Fundamental Duties and its Various Aspects’ at Court complex, Janipur here today.
The programme was attended by retainer lawyers, panel lawyers, para-legal volunteers and law students of various institutions.
Secretary, DLSA, Naushad Ahmed Khan welcomed the guests and other participants and also spoke on the objective of this programme. Kikar Singh Parihar, Presiding Officer, MACT and Tahir Khurshid Raina, Addl District Judge Jammu delivered the lectures on the subject. Parihar spoke on the historic background of Fundamental duties while Raina spoke on the broader prospects and evolution of the concept of Fundamental duties as enshrined in the Constitution.
Chairman, DLSA, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu, R K Wattal spoke in detail on the subject. Dr Monica Narang, Assistant Professor, Law School (JU), Advocate Rozina Afzal, Master trainer -Advocate Jyoti Sharma, J&K State Legal service Authority also spoke on the occasion.
The speakers emphasized on the participants to inculcate the spirit of rendering their best services in their respective fields so that the status of the country as a whole elevates which is prime duty of every citizen of this country. They said citizens must be aware of their duties and rights. Advocate Deepali Arora presented vote of thanks.
