JAMMU, Feb 27: Apple Kids, Sainik Colony today celebrated its 11th Annual Day with great elation and gusto here.
Dr Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu graced the function as chief guest while Ranjeet Kalra, J&K’s representative to BCCI and Advisor Sports and Youth Affairs to the UT Government of Lakshadweep , as the guest of honour.
The event unfolded with lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by the Ganesh Vandana.
The students staged a skit on theme, “Healthy Food Vs Junk Food” followed with various colourful and mesmerizing performances such as Plastic dance, Sports dance and Zumba to mark the occasion.
The chief guest appreciated the spirit and confidence of the students and the efforts of the school management and the staff. He said that proper pre-schooling of a child was very important aspect and needs to be nurtured for a strong foundation.
The meritorious students were facilitated for the all round achievements and for academic excellence by the guest of honour Ranjeet Kalra. He laid down the importance of sports in the child’s life.
The chief coordinator of the school, Sanjay Mehra presented 10 years of service award to Preetipal Kaur.
The vote of thanks delivered by Principal Veena Aswal while Center Head, Bindu Mehra presented mementos to the chief guest and guest of honour.
