REASI, Mar 10: District Youth Services and Sports Officer Reasi conducted Inter-Block District Level Football Tournament at SMVD Sports complex, Katra here today.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Naresh Singh was the chief guest on the occasion and MS Mir, District President Football Association was the guest of honour.
The matches were played between teams of different blocks including Reasi, Katra, Pouni, Arnas and Penthal.
While interacting with the players and officials, the chief guest lauded their efforts for good show.
He also distributed football kits among the participating players which was being provided by the District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi.
He said such events provide a launching pad for channelizing the energy of youth in positive direction.
A pledge of sportsmanship was also administered to the participants on the occasion.
The first match was won by Panthal by three goals to nil (3-0). 2 goals were scored by Mannat Mengi, while the 3rd goal was scored by Mukul.
In the second match, Katra beat Pouni by (3-0). Vinay Partap scored 2 goals and Prafful Kesar netted one goal, while in the 3rd match of the day, Panthal beat Reasi again by 3-0. The goals were scored by Mukul and Mannat.
The matches were officiated by the technical panel including Rahul Bakshi, Vikas Verma, Balbir Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Devinder Kour, Jasbir Kour, Anjali Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Jaswant Singh and Vikrant Singh, under the supervision of Kuldeep Kumar.
