Jammu, Mar 12: United XI and Chinar Cricket Club registered emphatic victories over their rivals in the ongoing Indoor Cricket tournament at KC Sports Club, under ‘Fit J&K Union Territory Movement’ at KCSC Indoor Hall, here tonight.
In the first match, United XI scripted a thrilling win by 1-run over Digital XI in an exciting contest.
Earlier, Digital XI won the toss and put the opposition into bat.
Batting first, United XI scored a modest total of 18 runs in the stipulated 10 overs. Ishtaq and Lalit contributed 8 and 5 runs respectively. From Digital XI, Rahil, Sunny, Vikas and Sohail took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Digital XI bundled out for 17 runs, thus lost the match in a thrilling contest by 1 run. Rahil and Ravinder scored 5 and 4 runs respectively. From United XI, Anuj took 3 wickets, while Riaz bagged 2.
In another match, Chinar Cricket Club defeated Sharika Cricket Club by an easy contest by 6 wickets.
Sharika CC won the toss and opted to bat first.
Batting first, Sharika Cricket Club scored 37 runs in the allotted 10 overs. Manik and Sahil contributed 14 and 11 runs respectively. From Chinar Cricket Club, Arun and Nikhil claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Chinar Cricket Club chased the target in 7.5 overs. Sunny and Tarun contributed 16 and 12 runs to the total respectively. From Sharika Cricket Club, Rishab took 2 wickets.
