JAMMU, Mar 12: Nagrota Police arrested a man for trying to outrage modesty of woman.
As per police sources, a 22-year-old lady hailing from Jagti Colony lodged a complaint with Police Station Nagrota stating that when she was waiting for mini-bus to travel from Jagti to Jammu, a person arrived in a car and asked her to sit in his car. When the lady sit in the car, the driver of the car used criminal force with her and intent to outrage her modesty, sources added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 127/2020 under section 354 IPC was registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
During course of investigation and after hectic efforts, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket under the supervision of SDO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma arrested the accused car driver, who was identified as Satish Safaya, son of Vishva Nath Safaya of Jagti Nagrota.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
