UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: One person died and nine others were injured when a Tempo Traveler, carrying tourists from Mumbai, skidded off the road and turned turtle at Baransoo, near Kassal Morh in Patnitop Kud area, early this morning.
The accident took place around 6:45 AM when the Tempo Traveler (JK14B-2133) carrying nine tourists, was on way from Patnitop to Jammu. Because of slippery conditions, driver lost control over the vehicle, which skidded off the road and turned turtle. Driver of the vehicle, a local, was also injured in the mishap.
Locals and a Police party, led by SHO Kud, Vishal Sharma rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub District Hospital Chenani where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was identified as Rajul Pranlal Goradia (52), resident of 511/C -36 Panchvati CHS RSC-44/45, opposite Dispensary Charkop, Sector number 5, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The injured tourists were identified as Nilesh Balram Tiwari, son of Balram Tiwari, resident of Mehra Communication, backside Vikhorli Mumbai, Bhavesh Dhiraj Lal Klotiya, son of Dhiraj Lal Damodar Dass Klotiya, resident of House C-35/101, Sandes CHSl area locacality, sector – 2 Shanti Nagar Meera Road East Distt Thane Maharashtra, Jayash Nandlal Mehta, son of Nand Lal of B-105 Jatin Villa Tank Road, opposite Milap Talkies, Kundiviali West Mumbai, Rohit Ashok Bhai Dabhi, son of Ashok Bhai of 46 Sihor, Bhav Nagar Road, near Hotel Vijay Palace, opposite Forest office Bhave Nagar Gujarat, Parkash Mehta, son of Rajnikant Mehta, resident of 2nd Floor Riddhi Siddhi APT’s Rd Kings Circle Mumbai, Vasant Damji Thakker, son of Damji Thakker of Bharat Niwas, Ist Floor 64 Bapu Bhai Vasi Road opp Laxmi Narayan Mandir Vileperele, Mumbai, Kaplesh Chhota Lal Palan, son of Chhota Lal Palan of opp Bank of India B/402 Neera Govind Apartment SN Road Mulund West Mumbai, Hemang Parkash Mehta, son of Parkash Harilal Mehta of Palvi Sadan Vallah Bang Extension opp Bañk of Baroda Ghatkopar East Mumbai and driver of the Tempo Traveler, namely Jatinder Singh, son of Suram Singh of Dhab Jagir, tehsil Pouni in district Reasi.
