JAMMU, Mar 15: Second Archery Tournament was organized by District Police Kargil under Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2019-20 at Higher Secondary School Ground Drass, here.
Six teams drawn from different areas of Drass Sub-Division participated in the tournament.
Bhimbart Archers defeated Super Stars in the finals and emerged victorious. The final scores were 72-68 in favour of the winners.
Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP Headquarter Kargil was the chief guest on the occasion, while Nisar Hussain, In-charge SDM Drass, Mohd Hassan, BDO Drass and Noor Mohd, BDC Drass were the special guests.
The chief guest in his address briefed the participants regarding the various activities carried under Civic Action Programme to enhance police-public relations. He said District Police Kargil is committed to carry out different programmes to facilitate the youth of Drass Sub-Division.
He congratulated all the players, supporting staff and referees for making this tournament a success and showed concern over the prevailing health situation because of COVID-19.
In the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the winners and the runner-up teams were awarded trophies, while cash prizes were given to man of the tournament and man of the final.
All the referees and officials who participated in the event were also given cash prizes.
SI Hyder Ali, I/c SHO Police Station Drass and other officers/officials of Police Station Drass were present on the occasion.
