JAMMU, Mar 16: In view of the advisory issued by the Government after the outbreak of coronavirus, Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust Gandhi Nagar in consultation with the Dharmarth Trust has decided that there will be no procession during 26th Annual Holy Chhari Yatra this year falling on March 23.
In a handout, Trust chairman Gulchain Singh Charak informed that the ritual of Holy Chhari Yatra to the historic Purmandal shrines on ‘Chaitra Chaturdashi’ is there for the last 25 years.
He further said that this year the Annual Chhari Yatra will be taken to the Purmandal Shrines by three Mahatamas (seers) only with proper preventive measures and ceremonial Pooja will also be performed by them.
