JAMMU, Mar 16: Thathri Development Front (TDF) held a meeting in which its members have appealed to the Lieutenant Governor J&K GC Murmu to create separate Tourism Development Authority (TDA) and Assembly Constituency for Sub-Division Thathri.
They said that no tourist spots have been developed in Sub-Division Thathri. There are many tourists’ spots, which can be development, but remained ignored by the successive Governments.
The members of TDF further said that Sub-Division Thathri also deserves District Status, separate Assembly Constituency as it now comprises of 5 Tehsils and all the existing districts and Assembly Constituencies in J&K UT have hardly 2 or 3 Tehsils.
The meeting was attended by Ram Rattan Manhas, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Advocate Kanwarjeet Singh Thakur, Om Raj Bhall, Layaqat Ali, Behari Lal Bhagat, Javeed Iqbal Batt and Yog Raj Sharma.
